Mademoiselle Tyler was finally able to put on her fully finished petticoat with the two planned ruffles.
Preparing these two flounces and fitting them took a lot of work and, above all, time because I did it as I said I would. But I liked the result and so did the lady.
A suivre....
Now I'm going to take a break from sewing for a while and start making cardboard, as soon as I receive the grey cardboard that was missing from the Eclat de Verre shipment.
So what am I going to make? A box for transporting a Miss Tonner in all her finery so as not to crease her dress. The model of this box isn't quite clear in my head yet, but I'm starting to get an idea of what it should look like.
The dressed doll must be able to stand on its base and this base must not move in the box. So there will have to be a round, recessed place for it. That's where my plans stand. To be continued....
